Irish Times Training

Training That is Always Trusted, Current & Expert

For over 40 years Irish Times Training have helped people both in their professional development and to get the skills they need in order to return to work. We know that striving for excellence is key to progressing your career. All our courses are carefully designed and delivered by industry-expert tutors, supporting those who want to refresh existing skills or to build new skill sets.

Our mission is to provide the highest standard of training and development to learners, across a range of disciplines. Our experience in the delivery of long-term transferrable skills shapes how we help learners to prepare for the workplace of tomorrow.

We are delighted to be working with Springboard+ in 2021/22 to provide training in Global Capital Markets (Risk & Compliance). This will provide vital skills to jobseekers who want to develop knowledge and skills in the Finance sector, as well as to those currently employed who want to develop their career.

While we are planning for in-person classes to resume, our courses are currently delivered live and fully interactive online. This means that learners can interact directly with fellow students and tutors who share their expertise and real-life experience.

The difference between live and pre-recorded training sessions is huge – you can ask questions as you think of them, get information clarified in real time and ensure that you’re getting the very best from your own and the tutor’s time.

Irish Times Training MD, Imelda Rey, highlights the importance of expert trainers in helping people to develop skills that will help them to get back into the workforce. “Our trainers don’t just talk the talk, they walk it; if you’re getting digital skills training from us, you are being trained by someone in a digital marketing agency. If you are getting management training, it’s from someone who is or has been a senior leader.”

While the emphasis in recent years has increasingly been on digital skills, research from Deloitte indicates that transferable soft skills such as effective communication, teamwork and problem-solving are as important to businesses as technical skills. We know that the right balance of technical and soft skills leads to greater productivity and co-operation among teams.

You might be surprised at the variety of courses that are available at Irish Times Training: Digital Marketing, Personal Effectiveness & Communications, Microsoft Office, HR & Learning Development, Leadership & Management, Strategy & Organisational Development, Sales & Customer Success and Project Management. For a number of years we have worked in partnership with Ulster University Business School to offer a Mini MBA and a full MSc in Executive Leadership, both of which give successful students internationally-recognised qualifications.

Our training is always trusted, current and expert – you can count on it. We’d be delighted to help you to explore your potential and help you to develop skills that will really improve your prospects.
