There are many, many papers and studies done on the importance of inclusive practices for companies and teams, and when you think about it. All we’re saying is that traditionally our approach to work fit one type of person. And now we’re saying let’s enable an approach that suits many type of people.

It’s as simple as that. And it can be pulled down into three key drivers from an organisation perspective. One, it’s about attracting talent, getting people to want to work for you and expanding your own talent pool. Two, it’s about retaining talent. Keeping your teams and your individuals wanting to come back day after day and improving the bottom line.

Diverse teams are more innovative and according to one study, companies in the top quartile of executive team gender diversity are 21% more profitable. So in a nutshell, having a diverse team and an inclusive culture means that you will have improved problem solving, you’ll understand your customers better, and you’ll improve your business and performance.
