Our vision is to give everyone who wants to work the opportunity of employment and education as a means to improve their well-being regardless of their background or economic status.
We have developed four programmes, Returner Open Employer Certification, Skills 4 Success, Course Connect and Next Steps Returnships.
Returner Open Employer Certification allows employers who are open to age and gender diversity in their workforces to stand out from the crowd with this certification.
Skills 4 Success is a “one on one” career guidance project. Targeting stay at home parents who have been out of the workforce for a number of years. The project is a virtual mentoring program, providing support in confidence building, CV preparation, interview skills and career guidance.
Our Skills 4 Success project will connect our clients to the supports they need to enable them to embrace the opportunities available, and to guide them along the path to education or employment.
Course Connect is being developed to redistribute surplus course places to those facing a financial barrier. It not only gives training providers and educational institutes the unique opportunity to offset unused course places but gives everyone who wants to work the opportunity of employment and education as a means to improve their well-being regardless of their background or economic status.
The Next Step-Returnship programme will offer work experience to those who need it in a supportive and encouraging environment offering them a stepping stone to further their employment potential. It will help people who have been out of the workforce for more than 2 years to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements within Back To Work Connect. After the placement, participants are encouraged to look for permanent jobs elsewhere, based on the experience and new skills they have gained while on the programme.
