Project Manager (Level Junior)


6 Month contracting role

Negotiable day rate applies

Client Discipline – State Agency

Location  Working from home initially (during lockdown) and then working from the client offices in Ballina thereafter.


The following non-exhaustive list of responsibilities, are applicable to the Project Manager role:

  1. Deliver strong and robust project plans to ensure successful delivery of projects on scope time and budget

  2. Day to day project management of projects including effective interaction with project stakeholders and project team members

  3. Building relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project and maintain effective team communication (verbal & written) and cooperation for successful project completion

  4. Monitoring progress of project teams relative to goals, deliverables and milestones.

  5. Producing high quality and accurate written reports

  6. Co-ordinating project lifecycle documents across various competencies (ICT, Data, Design Authority and Business)

  7. Co-ordinating, facilitating and scheduling project meetings

  8. Drive third parties to deliver on project plans

  9. Ensure resource availability and allocation

  10. Ensure quality gates & processes are in place and achieved.

  11. Proactively find solutions to project challenges

  12. Manage Project Closure and participates in Business Realisation Review

  13. Actively participant in Project Management Office and bring ideas and take action to implement continuous improvement


Key experience:


  • A minimum of three years’ experience working in project management role on projects dealing with multi-disciplinary teams is essential.

  • Excellent knowledge of formal project management methodologies and processes and Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) experience.

  • A recognised project management qualification

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and a PPM system is essential
