Donor Relations Officer
Plan International are seeking a Donor Relations Officer to play a crucial role in our Public Engagement Team.
The Donor Relations Officer will take excellent care of Plan International’s generous donors. Duties will include processing of income from supporters, recording donations, and thanking supporters.
The Donor Relations Officer will be the initial point of contact with Plan International supporters. The role holder will support campaigns, respond to donor queries, and provide the highest standard of donor care.
The Donor Relations Officer will work across the organisation to ensure supporters receive the best possible experience with Plan International Ireland.
Key roles and responsibilities
To develop the best possible donor relationships and contribute to the best possible communication with donors to ensure all donor communications are dispatched on schedule.
To deal with queries from supporters in a respectful and professional manner.
To thank all donors for their gifts.
To process all donations from the general public, schools, parishes and all other supporters. To ensure donations are allocated to the appropriate funds in accordance with the wishes of the supporter.
To record all donations and all related details on the CRM platform.
To ensure the donor database is maintained to a high standard and that all data is input accurately.
To support relationships with key stakeholders as required, and to represent and maximise Plan International Ireland’s profile at fundraising and advocacy events, meetings and networking events.
To process tax forms to support annual tax refund applications.
To contribute to content development for digital communications and update social media when required.
To be informed on relevant development issues and promote positive and consistent messaging to all stakeholders.
To ensure that all activities undertaken on behalf of Plan Ireland externally or internally, are executed in accordance with the overall aims of the organisation and in line with Plan’s policies and procedures.
To participate in training and other activities as requested by the organisation.
To support the Head of Public Engagement, CEO and other relevant staff and keep them informed of pertinent sponsorship related matters.
Other duties as required by the Head of Public Engagement.

You will ideally have experience in providing customer care.

You will be educated to Degree level, or equivalent experience
