Often, it\u2019s about making more thoughtful, intentional choices across the hiring journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Create structured pathways back to work<\/strong><br>Returnships or structured programmes can provide a vital bridge \u2014 helping individuals rebuild confidence, refresh skills, and transition back into the workplace in a supported way, like Back to Work Connect&#8217;s <strong>Career Relaunch Programme<\/strong> and <strong>Return To Work Programme \u2013 Returnship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Simplify how roles are presented<\/strong><br>Overly rigid requirements and jargon-heavy job descriptions can exclude strong candidates. Focusing on core skills and explicitly welcoming non-linear career paths can significantly widen your talent pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Rethink how you assess talent<\/strong><br>Traditional interview panels don\u2019t always surface the best candidates. Alternatives like work trials or project-based assessments can provide a more accurate view of capability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Build diversity into the process itself<\/strong><br>Diverse interview panels and fair, equitable offers are not just \u201cnice to have\u201d \u2014 they reinforce trust and signal genuine intent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6.
