Professional, mid- to senior-level part-time roles exist, but they\u2019re less visible, often created by negotiation rather than open posting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-jobs-most-often-advertised-as-part-time-are\">Jobs most often advertised as part-time are,<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Retail &amp; Hospitality \u2192 shop assistants, cashiers, bar staff, waiting staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Health &amp; Social Care \u2192 care assistants, healthcare support workers, home helps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Education &amp; Childcare \u2192 teaching assistants, after-school care, early years roles, tutors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Administration &amp; Office Support \u2192 receptionists, clerical officers, data entry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Customer Service \u2192 call centre agents, helpdesk support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cleaning &amp; Facilities \u2192 cleaners, janitorial staff, catering support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-effects\">The effects<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Less income means less saved, less invested, and smaller pension pots. In Ireland, women\u2019s pensions are already behind men\u2019s, partly because of career breaks and part-time patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This widens the confidence gap, reinforcing a cycle where women underestimate their own market value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reduced earning power means many women remain financially dependent on partners or family support, limiting autonomy and options later in life.
