Unlike equal pay\u2014which ensures individuals are paid the same for the same work\u2014the gender pay gap highlights systemic issues like underrepresentation of women in higher-paying roles and barriers to career progression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These reports typically include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The median and mean pay gap between men and women<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Differences in bonuses and additional benefits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The proportion of men and women in different pay quartiles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Action plans (in some cases) to address disparities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our mission is to support employers who are striving for gender pay balance and we are delighted to see the efforts that are being made by <a href=\"https:\/\/backtoworkconnect.ie\/organization\/veolia-ireland\">Veolia <\/a>and their commitment to closing the gender pay gap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their latest Gender Pay Gap Report highlights the steps they\u2019re taking to create a more equitable workplace, and we\u2019re especially proud to see <a href=\"https:\/\/backtoworkconnect.ie\/\">Back to Work Connect <\/a>mentioned as part of their strategy. By championing returners and career changers, they\u2019re not just talking about change\u2014they\u2019re making it happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA main focus this year has been a female focused attraction campaign which allowed us to increase our female hires by 10.8%. We were also accredited with the \u2018\u2019R<em><strong>eturner Friendly Employer<\/strong><\/em>\u2019\u2019 accreditation from Back To Work Connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This highlights the recruitment practices and initiatives we have that attract more female applicants by promoting agender-inclusive and flexible working environment for those who may have been out of the workforce for some time, due to various reasons including health and childcare.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meaningful progress on gender equality requires action, accountability, and collaboration.
