Back To Work Connect is Ireland’s leading career community dedicated to midlife Returners and career changers, or those choosing a different way to work. We connect people with returner-friendly jobs, learning opportunities and practical support to help them take their next step with confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also work with employers who want to reach experienced talent and make their recruitment more welcoming to people returning after a career break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What we do<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Returning to work can raise a lot of questions: Where do I start? Do my skills still count? Which employers will value my experience?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2020, we\u2019ve been helping people answer those questions through our returner-friendly jobs board, course directory, events and career resources. Whether someone is returning to a familiar field or exploring a new direction, we\u2019re here to help them see the value in the experience they already have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For employers, we offer ways to advertise opportunities to our community and build more returner-friendly recruitment practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Founder<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gina Oglesby founded Back To Work Connect in 2020 after seeing the gap between employers looking for experienced people and talented midlife workers struggling to find a way back in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having navigated career change and a return to work herself, Gina understood how easily skills gained before and during a career break can be overlooked. She built Back To Work Connect to make opportunities easier to find and to help employers recognise the experience returners bring.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The change we want to see<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A career break should not close the door to meaningful work. We want returners and career changers to feel supported in taking their next step, and employers to see the value of people whose careers have taken different paths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Social Impact Plan sets out how we work towards a more inclusive workforce, guided by six UN Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
